Hi all,

I know that the standard open-source answer to "when does the next
release come out ?" is "when it'll be ready..." but would it be
possible to have an estimation date for the next RC2 (2 month ? 6
month ? 1 year ?).

Also, I'd like to know if you found/fixed some show-stopper issues
since RC1. I'd like to use the new SOAP API, and I try to figure out
how risky it is to switch from 1.2 to 1.3_RC1.

Thanks for your concern, I know nobody wants to answer such questions
in the open-source world !

Given the timeline you provided, I would say within the 2 months.

Here is the changelog since 1.3.0-rc.1
https://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/changelog_page.php?version_id=249

I’ve a lot more confidence in 1.3.x release compared to previous ones given the fact that MantisHub has been based on 1.3.x for just over a year now.  So at least for the MySQL case, it has been well exercised.  But as usual, installing releases not marked as stable does require you to be able to handle issues if they come up.
